Our Work

Here's what we've been up to lately - projects that challenged us, taught us something new, and hopefully made their neighborhoods a bit better. Each one's got its own story, and honestly, that's what keeps this job interesting.

We've been lucky enough to work on everything from cozy homes to larger commercial spaces. Some clients come to us with crystal-clear ideas, others just know they want something different. That's the fun part - figuring it out together and watching spaces come alive.

Riverdale Net-Zero Home

Family wanted their energy bills to basically disappear - we made it happen. This one's pulling more power from the sun than it uses, and the kids have a reading nook that's become the most fought-over spot in the house.

Queen West Creative Hub

Queen West Creative Hub

Started as a tired old warehouse, now it's home to about a dozen small businesses. Green roof was non-negotiable for the client - turns out it's also become an unofficial lunch spot for half the building.

Beaches Laneway House

Tiny lot, big dreams. Client's mom needed her own space but wanted to stay close to family. We squeezed 850 sq ft of comfortable living into what used to be parking, and she's not moving out anytime soon.

Distillery District Adaptive Reuse

Distillery District Adaptive Reuse

This one taught us patience - you can't rush heritage work. Kept the brick and timber everyone fell in love with, added modern systems that actually work. Now it's a mixed-use space that respects its past while being totally livable today.

Junction Cafe & Eatery

Owner wanted something warm but not boring. We played with reclaimed wood, brought in tons of natural light, and designed the seating so it works for solo laptop warriors and group hangs. The Instagram posts from this place make us smile.

High Park Passive House
Residential

High Park Passive House

Client was skeptical about passive house standards at first - 'too complicated' they said. Now they brag about wearing t-shirts in January while their heating bill's basically nothing. Sometimes you just gotta show people what's possible.

College Street Retail Row

Three storefronts that needed to feel connected but individual. We unified the upper facade while giving each business their own personality at street level. The green wall between them? That was a last-minute idea that totally worked.

Rosedale Family Residence
Residential

Rosedale Family Residence

Clients had three kids under ten and wanted elegant without sacrificing livability. So yeah, durable materials that look sophisticated, sight lines so parents can actually see what's happening, and a mudroom that's seen some serious action.

Cabbagetown Victorian Renovation
Heritage

Cabbagetown Victorian Renovation

These old Victorians have good bones but weird layouts. We opened things up where it made sense, kept the character details that make these homes special, and snuck in modern conveniences without making it feel like a time machine malfunction.

Liberty Village Co-Working Space
Commercial

Liberty Village Co-Working Space

Everyone's doing co-working spaces now, so we focused on what actually matters - good acoustics, lots of options for different work styles, and plants. Like, a lot of plants. Air quality's measurably better and people seem happier.

Leslieville Eco-Renovation
Residential

Leslieville Eco-Renovation

Clients loved their neighborhood but hated their drafty, dark house. We basically rebuilt from the inside while keeping the exterior mostly intact. New windows, serious insulation, and a back addition that brought the light in. Night and day difference.

King West Boutique Hotel
Commercial

King West Boutique Hotel

Small hotel, big personality. Owner wanted guests to feel like they're staying at a cool friend's place, not a generic chain. Local art on the walls, furniture with stories, and common spaces that people actually want to hang out in.
